Revolutionary Social Networking, Personal Publishing and Productivity Solution Set to Act as “Disruptive Innovation” Predicted to Change the Computing Landscape
Boston, MA– April 9, 2010: Clearway Insight today announced the beta release and initial limited availability of Clearway Insight, a social networking, personal publishing, and productivity solution. Many observers believe that Insight will act as the “Disruptive Innovation” predicted by Tim O’Reilly to change the global computing landscape, including saving over 20 percent of the time people spend searching for information.
Clearway Insight seamlessly integrates search, information aggregation, organization, and publishing with:
- Browser and desktop functionality
- Bing and Google search results
- Applications and functionality of the Cloud and Web 2.0
- Personally generated information such as spreadsheets, documents, and emails.
It also enables and supports topic and interest-based user communities and business workgroups. With Insight, users can effortlessly capture and compile content, turn it into insight, and easily publish and share it.
“The power of Insight is that it allows anybody to be brilliant by enhancing their work with the knowledge of others, and share that information with the world, a select group or keep it private,” said Gene Rodgers, President and Chief Operating Officer of Clearway. “Insight is a paradigm changing solution that removes major barriers to finding and managing information—with a new emphasis on increasing the accessibility, power, human relevancy, and value of information for everyone.”
The diagram below shows how Insight empowers the individual user and communities of users.

As reflected in the diagram, Insight ushers in a new world of computing possibility where all of the following capabilities are now reality:
- Simply drag a link from the results of your latest Google or Bing Search, Facebook post, Word or Excel file, Internet Explorer information, Favorite Web Sites, Outlook email, Twitter posts, You Tube videos, or any other source of information into one secure place
- Securely access that information from any computer in the world
- Easily find, manage and organize information without relying on your memory or file names
- Review what you have contributed and organized, and find that it contains Insight contributed by a community of users with similar interests
- Reduce the amount of time you searched for this information using Google or Bing by 20%
- Add comments to or rate content, users, images, files, web links or search results
- Keep your Insights private, share it and collaborate with friends or professionals, or share it with the world
- Increase your productivity significantly by easily collaborating and gathering Insight from others
- Easily organize the disparate information you gathered from various sources and easily format it with pictures, text and videos just like in a web magazine article
- Publish your visually rich magazine quality information you have created to any social site, blog, or website of choice with the drag of your mouse
- Enable others who reviewed your content to tap the Insight of an entire community of users who may have touched this same content
- Simplify your life on the computer!
For users who want to take advantage of these robust features and many more, Clearway will be collecting names between now and July 31, when Insight will be generally available. To sign up to receive a personal beta invitation visit www.clearwayinsight.com. Availability will be limited to the first 100,000 users.
“We are confident that Clearway Insight will radically alter the computing landscape and bring disruptive innovation to and far beyond search, knowledge management, data stores, file sharing, and social networking,” said Kevin Cotter, Chief Executive Officer of Clearway. The ability to reduce the number of web searches by over 20 percent, to eliminate the need for repeat searches, and reduce time spent organizing and reworking information by over 15 percent speaks volumes about the incredible power of Clearway Insight.”

Clearway Network Management Solutions Selected for Exclusive Microsoft Technical Adoption Program (TAP)
Published on April 8, 2010
Clearway OCS Expert Development to be Synchronized with Microsoft OCS 2010
Boston, MA– April 8, 2010: Clearway Network Management Solutions today announced that it has been selected by Microsoft to participate in the exclusive Microsoft Technical Adoption Program (TAP) for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2010 (OCS 2010). TAP is an early beta program for select partners and customers who Microsoft has determined are important to a successful release of OCS 2010. Clearway is among an elite group of Microsoft go-to-market partners worldwide selected for this program.
“Clearway is honored to have been selected again to participate in a Microsoft TAP,” said Raheel Retiwalla, Chief Technology Officer of Clearway. “Unified Communications solutions such as Microsoft Office Communications Server are already integrating applications to collaborate across multiple devices, including fixed phones, mobile phones, PCs, laptops, and web conferencing equipment. The convergence of technologies brings new and complex business and technical issues which need to be understood and managed. It is critical to understand what each customer device running on the OCS platform is doing in isolation and in relation to all the other devices on a client’s network. Without this capability, service providers leave their quality of service and reputations to chance, and enterprises risk big productivity losses. Clearway’s OCS Expert addresses these challenges, and with our inclusion in TAP, we can continue to work with Microsoft to ensure that OCS Expert drives the highest possible Quality of Experience for OCS 2010 users,” continued Mr. Retiwalla.
“Some of the world’s largest enterprises and service providers have standardized on the Clearway NMS platform of Network Assurance Expert and OCS Expert for Unified Communications including OCS,” said Mr. Retiwalla. “Our inclusion in TAP is particularly significant to leading OCS customers, as we will be able to feed their requirements to the Microsoft team and collaborate to develop new capabilities for OCS Expert.”
With this announcement, Clearway and Microsoft can jointly develop required solutions for OCS 2010, with common release dates, and pre-launch customer deployments. TAP synchronizes the development of Clearway OCS Expert with Microsoft OCS 2010.
“Clearway has a long tradition of being Microsoft’s award-winning go-to partner for professional services,” said Kevin Cotter, Chief Executive Officer of Clearway. “We place great value upon our relationship with Microsoft, and our inclusion in TAP signals an era of Clearway bringing value to Microsoft solutions through software. Just as OCS Expert takes the guesswork out of assuring quality of experience for OCS, other new software from Clearway will dramatically impact information management and security solutions in Microsoft environments.”
